FREE workshop on National Quilters’ Day!

Workshop: Setting Tradition Free

A 6-hour workshop that teaches you how to make a small modern quilt with a traditional block as your starting point. The following techniques will be covered: paper foundation piecing, free form cutting without a template and how to sew filler units. With the principles of design in mind, we will help you arrange your blocks in a unique modern setting or you may copy the layout of the examples provided. You will need a “blender” fabric that includes all of the colours you want to use, 4 coordinating fabrics that match your blender and a contrasting solid background.
Size of finished quilt: 26 inch x 24 inch (65cm x 60cm). Notes will be provided to enlarge your project.
The class is limited to 24 participants on a first come first serve basis. Send an email to .

Venue: Lynnwood Trinity Church on 17 March from 8:30 – 15:30
